- **Double-check your eligibility** before your tour to avoid complications on the day of your booking.
3. **Bookings, Cancellations, and Rescheduling**
We understand that plans can change, but we ask our guests to be mindful of our policies to ensure that everyone has a smooth experience. Late cancellations can impact other customers who are ready and have prepared the necessary requirements.
- **Booking**: Once payment is confirmed, your tour slot is reserved. Don’t forget to bring your **proper driving requirements**, as failure to do so will result in your booking being forfeited without a refund.
- **Cancellations and Rescheduling**: We require cancellations or rescheduling requests to be made at least **10 days before the tour**. This allows us to accommodate other guests who are looking to book their experience.
- **If you need to cancel within 24 hours** of your scheduled tour, you will be required to provide supporting documents or proof (such as medical reasons, flight cancellations, etc.). We reserve these slots specifically for you, so please be mindful of others who are also excited to experience the tour.
- **No-show Policy**: If you do not arrive at the scheduled time without providing a valid reason, your booking will be forfeited without a refund. Please understand that we dedicate time and resources specifically to your experience, so last-minute changes affect not only us but other guests as well.
4. **Safety Protocols and Compliance with Local Laws**
Your safety, as well as the safety of others, is our top priority. We ask that all participants follow Japanese traffic laws and our safety guidelines to ensure everyone enjoys a secure experience.
- **Driving Requirements**: We will verify your **proper driving requirements for Japan** before the tour begins. If you do not have the necessary documentation, your tour will be canceled without a refund.
- **Obey Traffic Laws**: Please follow all traffic rules, including speed limits, pedestrian crossings, and respecting others on the road. Failure to comply with these laws can result in penalties, which you will be held accountable for.
- **Staff Instructions**: Our staff may appear strict at times, but this is to prevent reckless driving that could put you and others at risk. We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience, and following our instructions helps ensure that. Safety is always our primary concern.
- **Alcohol**: Any guest who arrives under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed to participate, and no refund will be provided. This is non-negotiable to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
5. **Damage and Loss of Vehicles**
As you’ll be driving one of our vehicles, we expect you to treat it with care and follow all safety instructions. If you fail to do so, you may be held responsible for any damage or loss.
- **Damage and Reckless Driving**: If damage or loss occurs due to unsafe or reckless driving, you will be held accountable for repair or replacement costs. While we understand accidents happen, we require all drivers to follow safe driving practices and respect the guidance of our tour guides.
- We will always **investigate the situation** first to understand what happened. However, if it’s determined that the issue arose from careless driving, and you fail to accept responsibility, we may need to involve the authorities.
- We ask that you follow the instructions provided by your tour guide and avoid unnecessary risks. Driving safely ensures everyone’s experience remains enjoyable.
- **Accountability**: As the person operating the vehicle, you’re responsible for its well-being during the tour. If an issue arises, we’ll address it fairly, but please know that attempting to escape responsibility may result in the involvement of local authorities.
6. **Return Condition**
You don’t need to worry about cleaning or repairing the vehicle after your tour. **We’ll handle it all!** Just make sure to drive safely during the experience, and we’ll take care of the rest.
7. **Tour Cancellations by KKTT**
We aim to provide a fun and safe experience, but certain circumstances may require us to cancel a tour.
- **Extreme weather conditions**: If the weather poses a safety risk, we may need to cancel or reschedule the tour for another day.
- **Unexpected events**: Unforeseen events can sometimes arise, but we will work with you to reschedule your tour as quickly as possible.
- **Endangering Behavior**: If a guest is seen as endangering themselves, others, or the general public, the tour leader has the right to ask that guest to leave the tour. This decision is always made with safety in mind, and we ask for your understanding in these situations. We care deeply about the well-being of our guests and the community, and safety is always our top priority.
8. **Personal Items**
Please secure your personal belongings during the tour, as KKTT is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- **Driving Documentation**: Remember to bring your **proper driving requirements**. Forgetting these documents will result in the cancellation of your tour without a refund.
9. **Photo and Video Policy**
We may capture photos or videos during your tour for promotional purposes. By participating, you agree to allow us to use these images for marketing and social media content.
- **Personal Photos**: You’re welcome to take your own photos and videos during the tour. We just ask that you do so safely, without distracting others or violating safety rules.
10. **Payments, Fees, and Additional Charges**
Payment must be completed at the time of booking to secure your spot. We accept most major credit cards and bank transfers.
- **Refund Policy**: Refunds are only available under specific circumstances, such as outlined in Section 3 (Cancellations and Rescheduling). Refunds are not provided for no-shows, missed tours, or failure to bring necessary documentation.
- **Additional Charges**: You may be held responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by reckless driving or other negligent behavior.
