Eligibility Checklist

• Please check if the country of your driver’s license is part of the 1949 International Driving Permit Geneva Convention.

• Bring the hardcopy of your 1949 International Driving Permit.

• Bring the hardcopy of your passport.

If the country that issued your driver’s license is not part of the 1949 International Driving Permit agreement, you will not be eligible to drive in Japan.
